French aerospace company Safran is gearing up to establish one of its largest aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities, occupying 23.5 acres with a built-up area of 36,500 SqFt at GMR aerospace park in Hyderabad which is designed to have the capacity to service 300 engines annually by the year 2035.
The operations are set to commence in 2025. It will create around 1000 job opportunities at its peak operational capacity.

Construction work on the facility is scheduled to begin in September 2023, and it is projected to be handed over by December 2024.
