Kshama Bindu, a girl from Vadodara, Gujarat will tie the knot with herself and the wedding ceremony will feature every ritual from the pheras, wedding vows to a honeymoon in Goa, but won’t have any groom.

Sologamy, an unconventional wedding ceremony where people marry themselves, has been a growing trend in the Western culture over the past few years and It has now reached Indian shores.

According to Bindu, By marrying herself she would be dedicating her life to “self-love”.

“Self-marriage is a commitment to being there for yourself, to choosing the livelihood and lifestyle that will help you grow and blossom into the most alive, beautiful, and deeply happy person you can be.”

Sologamy has no legal sanction in India and the symbolic ceremony is used by many as an act to emphasize their self obsession or self-love.
